MLC MICE Part 1/4:
Miss London Concierge in Milan

Miss London Concierge are your venue finding experts. Not just venue finding in London and the UK, but also abroad.  We are sending you a four part series of special blogs, mailers and information around MICE and international trips.  Why? In today’s fast-paced and competitive business world, corporate teams are constantly searching for new ways to improve teamwork, boost morale, and enhance productivity. One increasingly popular option that has emerged is the concept of MICE trips.  MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions. These trips provide unique opportunities for corporate teams to come together in a different setting, away from the office, and engage in various activities that foster team building, learning, and networking.  This month we will be bringing you a weekly blog on the countries and cities we have been lucky enough to visit this year including Milan, Brussels, Finland & Scotland.  Today is part one of four: the incentive trip to the beautiful city of… Milan

Earlier this year, our Director Emily was invited to fly to Milan by our friends at Hills Balfour for a three day FAM trip, visiting a number of stunning hotels, taking part in authentic Italian team building activities and building a picture of why this City is the perfect choice for our clients international meetings, incentives and corporate events.  To say she fell in love with this City is an understatement!

In a nutshell

Emily was lucky enough to visit over 17 different properties from luxury hotels, smaller boutique cosmopolitan hotels, large conference centres (perfect for those famous fashion shows) historical venues, an authentic Italian Mall featuring two rooms for private cooking lessons, a visit to Autodromo, where the Formula 1 racing takes place and a number of amazing restaurants and dining experiences.

Incredible highlights

But the stand out activity for Emily was visiting the The Last Supper – Leonardo Da Vinci – Useful Information ( to see Di Vinci’s painting of The Last Supper, an amazing vision.  The groups wonderful tour guide met them here to start the walking tour of Milan, followed by a visit to a palace, the famous The Cathedral – Duomo di Milano OFFICIAL SITE ( cathedral and some amazing landmarks along the way.  The walking tour was a big highlight of the trip and should definitely be factored into any incentive trip, meeting or conference for your teams.

An insight into the benefits of corporate incentive trips

A corporate incentive trip abroad can offer several benefits to employees. It’s a great way to motivate a company and team, while providing an opportunity for them to bond and connect with their colleagues. Visiting a new destination allows the team to experience new cultures and team building activities, improve communication, teamwork and productivity, and create lasting memorable experiences, fostering a sense of loyalty and maintaining a strong workforce

Day One

After arriving in Milan ,we checked in to the Milano Verticale Hotel, part of the UNA hotel group.  They have 11 properties in and around the City and 51 properties in total making it the largest Italian hotel chain in terms of number of hotels and locations covered.

Throughout the day we also visited THE MALL in the Piazza Bo Bardi and also had an Italian cooking lesson and inner at EATALY.

It was an early start on Day 2 and after breakfast, we kicked off a day of site visits at The Westin Palace Hotel.

Throughout the day we visited the Duo Milan Porta Nuova Hotel, the Hyatt Centric, the Grand Hotel Villa Torretta, where we also stopped off for some delicious lunch. The afternoon brought us a site visit at the Reggie di Monza, the Royal Villa and a palace built in the 18th century as a private residence for the Habsburgs. We didn’t stop there and made our way to the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza where the Formula 1 Pirelli Italian Grand Prix is held in September.

We returned to the hotel, packed up our belongings and went on over to the Hotel Principe di Savoia where we had dinner and laid our heads on our pillows!

Day Three

Throughout the morning we visited two great venues: Magna Pars L’Hotel a Parfum, as well as the NHow Milano Hotel.

We had lunch at the magnificent La Esse Romagnola and continued our tour to Cenacolo Vinciano where we saw The Last Supper.

After a guided tour of the old city centre, including the Castello Sforzesco, Pieta Rondanini Michelangelo Buonarroti and Piazza Duomo, we viewed the HOTEL MILANO SCALA and the Rosa Grand Milano.

It was more delightful Italian food in the evening and we made our way to Pizzeria 12 gatti and then made our way to our soft beds.

Day Four

We ended our trip with a few final visits to the Melia Milano hotel, the NH Collection Hotels Citylife and the Sheraton Milan San Siro where we had lunch in their Restaurant El Patio del gaucho.

Thank you to all of our incredible hosts for making this trip one to remember and allowing us to experience first hand how these venues and experiences will work for our clients next incentive trip.
