As venue finders, visiting different London venues, as well as venues around the UK, is an essential part of our job as a team.

By visiting venues in person, we have a direct experience of the facilities, ambiance, and overall atmosphere, allowing us to gather accurate and detailed information that cannot be fully conveyed through pictures or descriptions alone. Also, seeing venues firsthand helps us assess their suitability for various events or clients.

But, not only are we searching for the perfect venues, we are also searching to create and strengthen relationships with our venue partners and other events industry professionals.

This month we are thrilled to have visited so many wonderful places and networked with some fabulous teams, sharing industry insights, trends and, of course, seeing some memorable events spaces. Take a look below to see what the Miss London Concierge team have been up to in March 2024.

Our most recent showcase event was held at the amazing Indian restauran, Kanishka. It’s a fine dining experience crafted by well-known chef Atul Kochaar. Situated in the heart of the city, Kanishka celebrates the food culture, cooking styles and signature dishes from India.

Kanishka provides not only high-quality food, but high-quality service and we all experienced welcoming service and felt very looked after. This stylish restaurant offers private dining experiences, and the restaurant can host up to 50 guests. The bar is available for drink receptions and canapes whilst there are three fabulous private dining spaces: The regent is ideal for larger private events, such as formal dinners or networking parties- this can host up to 12 guests. The last 2 rooms are The Oxford Room which can host up to 14 and The Maddox which can host up to 8. All rooms can be transformed with decoration and allows guests to use imagination!

It was great to catch up with our clients and chat all things events at a venue that could really be a standout for client dinners.

I received an in-depth tour of this historic hotel, which originally opened in 1873 and welcomes guests to a 5* experience. The rooms are spacious and partnered with great service, the hotel is pet and family friendly and situated in the easily accessible Kings Cross Station.

The hotel’s partnership with the euro tunnel ‘suite to seat, seat to suite’ gives guests seamless and complimentary transfer to and from the hotel.

The dramatic hallways and décor give the hotel a grand feel, the hotel is featured in films and the famous stairs also feature in The Spice Girls music video wannabe! The hotel has various rooms for pretty much any event, there are many places to dine curated by chef Patrick Powell. The Midland Grand dining room has a capacity of 86 covers or 150 standing guests.

It also has more intimate options including a stunning private dining room seating up to 14 guests or for the wow factor- the chef’s table where you can see the chef himself cooking for you, which can seat up to 8 guests.

The booking office is perfect for drink receptions, it’s an exciting new cocktail bar and restaurant. This can hold 9 to 30 for group dining and larger groups for receptions. Canopy by Hilton

This hotel has so many stunning places to host all kinds of events, I was shown around spaces that would be able to host meetings, guest stays, dinners and drink receptions.

I enjoyed learning about how the hotel is sustainability conscious by keeping original building features in the rooms, refilling glass water bottles, using local suppliers and reducing water waste by having less bathtubs in rooms.

I was shown around Dunstan Den which is an ideal meeting space, it’s a room filled with natural light and dried flowers incorporated with the natural theme of the hotel. This space can host up to 40 people for a reception. Florattica is situated on the 11 floors at the top of the hotel and has amazing views of central London, great for drinks receptions, launch parties and birthdays.

The elegant interior is inspired by the rich heritage of east London’s textile industry, it’s the perfect backdrop for any event! Florattica can host up to 200 guests.

I was invited to the luxury boutique hotel Roseate House a short walk away from Regents Park, each room features classic Victorian furniture and displays original paintings and touches from the Victorian era. I got to experience a lovely afternoon tea at The Hyde which is a space that is used for drink receptions, dining and can even be used for meeting spaces.

They have another meeting space called Club prive which can host up to 10 guests for private meetings, events, conferences and private dining. Guests can also stay at this venue as it has 47 stunning rooms with hand-crafted Bellestrata beds, antique furniture and period features.

The BoTree/Lavo

I really enjoyed my visit to The Botree, situated in Marylebone. I got to experience a tour of the bedrooms and spaces they have to offer. This included seeing the the suites which are styled to reflect the individuality of the lane, which boasts luxury and gives guests space to relax. Guests can dine in their Italian restaurant Lavo which has a coastal flair, offering pizza and fish.

Lavo has two floors and can accommodate up to 380 standing. The Botree Bar is perfect for drink receptions, launch parties and social gatherings hosting up to 380 standing. The Botree bar features a bright coloured ceiling which can be changed to the colour preference that guests wish to have giving it a Marylebone flair.

The hotel also features a private screening room which has lush red cinema seats providing guests with an exclusive movie night, hosting up to 33 guests. The live music venue was a great space for large events, this space can accommodate up to 550 guests, it comes with high quality AV and features lots of large screens where guests can use this for branding or backdrops.

This space also has a private entrance making it easy for attendees to arrive and leave accordingly. The live music space would be great for Christmas parties, live music, birthday parties and even conferences.
