As venue finders, visiting different London venues, as well as venues around the UK, is an essential part of our job as a team.

By visiting venues in person, we have a direct experience of the facilities, ambiance, and overall atmosphere, allowing us to gather accurate and detailed information that cannot be fully conveyed through pictures or descriptions alone. Also, seeing venues firsthand helps us assess their suitability for various events or clients.

But, not only are we searching for the perfect venues, we are also searching to create and strengthen relationships with our venue partners and other events industry professionals.

This month we are thrilled to have visited so many wonderful places and networked with some fabulous teams, sharing industry insights, trends and, of course, seeing some memorable events spaces. Take a look below to see what the Miss London Concierge team have been up to in January 2024.

February Highlight: Abbey Road Studios

– written by Fran Olbiks-Hill

I was honoured to receive an invitation to Abbey Road Studios for a special event titled ‘Stories from the Studios’. Upon arrival at the iconic Studio 2, we learnt about the history of this celebrated recording space that has hosted sessions by legendary artists such as The Beatles, Oasis, Adele, among others.

We were treated to an immersive live orchestra. They played a selection of renowned songs by The Beatles and soundtracks from acclaimed movies. It was a delightful experience to relax, appreciate the music, and gain insights into the most famous recording studio in the world.

Abbey Road Studios has many things they can offer for clients, with 3 spaces- Studio 1, 2 and 3 that can be turned into a mixture of things to suit any event. Including private dinners, receptions, conferences and live performances. Studio 1 has a capacity of 355 for standing, 300 theatre, 225 dinner and 200 cabaret. This would be great for award ceremonies and live music. Studio 2 has a capacity of 130 standing, 100 theatre and 80 dinner,  which would be great for sit down dinners and live music. Finally, studio 3 has a standing capacity of 50, theatre 40 and 30 for meeting. This space is perfect for more intimate events like a small meeting, launches and press conferences.

They currently offer experiences for clients which include their latest launch of  ‘stories from the studios’ and a bespoke ‘Record a Song Experience’ where guests have the opportunity to make music in the rooms notoriously used by artists including The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Oasis. These two experiences can also be combined together for the perfect event.

The experience is interwoven with specially commissioned live performances of the most iconic music from Abbey Road’s history, bringing the legendary story to life for the audience, all inside the very rooms where the music was first heard and recorded.
Stories from the Studios is a timeless and unforgettable journey through the heart and soul of the people, stories and sounds that have defined popular culture, and changed the course of music history, forever.

The day after our stay there was a walking tour to The Marylebone hotel, the group got to indulge in a buffet lunch in the long room and then had a tour of the other event spaces. This included the Courtyard, which has a retractable roof and able to merge with the blue room and Library for larger scale events up to 150 guests.

Thornbury Castle FAM

Emily, our founder and director, went on a wonderful fam trip to Thornbury Castle Hotel Limited. What an absolutely stunning day and night. Staying with the arrival to the castle to be welcomed to the most beautiful room: The Jane Seymour room was gorgeous in every way – the key itself was very impressive.

The group met in the library for pre- drinks before being welcomed to start the evening activity, one of the best activities for a Fam trip! GOTO Events organised the ‘BETRAYERS’ evening and with the stunning castle lit up with candles, it was the perfect setting!
