Behind the Scenes

November has been a month full of momentum, meaningful connections, and some truly standout experiences. As the festive season edges closer, our team has been out and about meeting partners, exploring new spaces, and immersing ourselves in events that spark fresh ideas for the year ahead.

We kicked things off with a brilliant lunch and site visit at Harrods, spending valuable time with their events team and soaking up inspiration for future client experiences. Celebrations were also in full swing at the Muse anniversary party, a vibrant evening that reminded us just how special milestone moments can be. Our month also included an intimate networking agency lunch with an Italian venue and Miss Porta, giving us the chance to strengthen relationships and discover new opportunities for our clients.

Site visits have been a real highlight, with stops at the House of GodsLanding, and an energising evening at the Amazing Grace launch party. We also enjoyed a pre-opening look at Crafted at Powdermills, where a FAM trip and overnight stay gave us a first-hand taste of what will soon be an exceptional new venue. The stunning Great Fostershosted an insightful client FAM with MLC Connects, offering a perfect blend of history, character, and luxury.

Travel continued at pace with Sam heading to IBTM World for three days packed with meetings, inspiration, and global connections. We also spent time exploring the Farncombe Estate—from The Fish to Dormy House and Foxhill Manor—each property offering its own distinct charm. A site visit and lunch at the spectacular Estelle Manor followed, before rounding off the month with an unforgettable agency FAM trip to Gleneagles, a destination that never fails to impress.

Behind the scenes, November has also been our most successful month to date. We’ve confirmed three major international events, secured a series of fantastic bookings across the Midlands, and kicked off planning for January launches, company offsites, and luxury dinners.

To our wonderful clients—thank you for your continued trust and loyalty. Your support fuels our creativity, drives our passion, and makes every project a joy to bring to life. We can’t wait to carry this energy into the festive season and beyond.

Harrods Lunch & Site Visit

The month kicked off in style at Harrods, where we met with the events team for a site visit and lunch. Walking through the iconic venue, even familiar spaces felt new. The festive decorations had transformed the department into a true winter wonderland.

We explored the array of event options, from terraces overlooking Knightsbridge to intimate private dining rooms. My personal highlight was The Georgian, a recently refurbished Art Deco space with 114 seats. Imagine hosting an evening dinner here, the glittering city lights reflected through grand windows, while the service is impeccable.

The terrace, suitable for 26 seated or 40 standing guests, offers a breath of fresh air with all-weather protection perfect for summer lunches or cocktail receptions. Our lunch was delicious, a chance to reconnect with the team and discuss exciting opportunities for 2026. The takeaway? Harrods is a versatile venue, capable of hosting everything from corporate lunches to extravagant festive celebrations.

Muse Anniversary Party

Later in the week, we celebrated the first anniversary of MUSE at RSA House. The bar itself is a stylish gem, perfect for intimate hires of 50 60 guests. RSA House, however, is where the true versatility lies a collection of 13 unique event spaces.

One space that always impresses is The Vaults, which can be exclusively hired for up to 230 guests standing. Its exposed brickwork and private entrance make it an atmospheric choice for dinners, receptions, or meetings. Celebrating MUSE’s milestone was not just about cocktails; it was about seeing how creative, well-curated spaces elevate even a small gathering into something memorable. Networking with peers and sharing the excitement of a new venue in central London reminded us why seeing spaces in action is so valuable.

Networking Agency Lunch with Italian Venues and Miss Porta

Networking doesn’t always happen in a boardroom. Sometimes it happens over a beautifully prepared Italian lunch. Miss Porta invited us to Locatelli at the National Gallery, a restaurant that oozes elegance with warmth.

We met two remarkable hoteliers: Sina Hotels and Giardini del Fuenti, discussing their stunning Italian properties ideal for incentive trips, corporate retreats, and bespoke events. The lunch was relaxed and conversational, with presentations kept brief so that we could focus on asking questions and truly understanding what makes these venues special.

Italy remains a top destination for corporate groups, and meeting these partners firsthand allows us to offer our clients a curated, insider perspective

House of Gods and Landing Canary Wharf Site Visit and Amazing Grace Launch Party

The afternoon and evening took us to Canary Wharf, where three spectacular new venues opened their doors: House of Gods, Landing, and Amazing Grace.

House of Gods is a jewel on the waterfront: a boutique hotel with a rooftop restaurant, champagne lounge, and Sacred Garden cocktail bar. Its 79 rooms are uniquely designed, and the venue exudes confidence and style: perfect for launches, celebrations, or VIP events. The calm professionalism of the events team, even in the middle of a bustling function, was impressive and reassuring.

Landing, just next door, offers flexible, minimalist elegance. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, and the waterside terrace provides a dramatic backdrop for dinners, conferences, and corporate workshops. With capacities up to 450 standing, it’s versatile and sophisticated, ideal for brands seeking a modern, open-plan space.

Finally, Amazing Grace, with its two floors and mezzanine balcony, is a dynamic venue for performances, networking events, or large-scale gatherings. Its central bar, integrated AV, and stunning dockside terrace make it a standout destination for both corporate and social occasions. Attending the launch party here was an unforgettable experience — seeing the spaces in action gives real insight into their capabilities.

Crafted at Powdermills FAM & Overnight Stay: Pre-Opening Agency FAM

Miss London Concierge were invited to attend a pre – opening agency FAM trip at Crafted at Powdermills, a brand new hotel in the beautiful sussex countryside which officially opened on the 17th November. To say we were impressed would be an understatement.  The 24 hour programme was designed to perfection and to make sure we got to experience as much of this unique property as possible.

Located in Battle, the journey from Charing Cross is just 1 hour 20 minutes and after stepping off the train, we were greeted by our personal chauffeur (in a branded Crafted VW van, brilliant) and were driven to the property which is a very short 5 minute car ride.

Throughout the next 24 hours, guests were treated to a lovely pub style lunch, a masterclass in Lino tarot card design (so original and a brilliant activity for groups), a private tour of the event spaces and grounds, Champagne drinks reception & private dinner, a magical fireworks display ( this was very special), drinks, DJ & Dancing, morning lake swim & sauna (magical)

After breakfast on day 2 we hopped back on a train to London, all talking about how we cannot wait to come back again asap!

A huge thank you to our friends at 8th Floor for the invitation and to the wonderful Carla Judge and her team for looking after us so brilliantly. It was such a lovely group of people and we all made some fab new connections as well

This venue is an absolute must for corporate offsites, meetings and events that want to get back to nature, embrace wellness, reconnect and switch off.

Great Fosters Client FAM – MLC Connects

What better way to wrap up an amazing year of mlcconnects events than with a group of our VIP clients at a stunning 5 star hotel in leafy Surrey. Thank you so much to Great Fosters Hotel & Restaurants for hosting us for such a lovely stay.

Highlights included: Champagne & scones on arrival, a private tour of the meeting rooms, grounds and bedrooms, pre- dinner drinks, mouth watering group dinner, luxury rooms for the guests to relax in

Thank you to each and every one of you who has attended an event and for always bringing such an amazing energy to each one.  The biggest thank you to all our venue partners who have gone above and beyond to showcase how special your properties are and for always looking after our guests so perfectly. We have loved seeing our clients book your venues!

We have such an exciting 2026 events programme in store and can’t wait to share this with you very soon!

IBTM World: Sam Attended 3 Days of Meetings and Networking

Sam shares her latest reflections on IBTM World in Barcelona: an event that truly showcased how fast the corporate event industry is evolving in the world of MICE. On our Events Unlocked podcast, she shared her favourite takeaways, and in this blog she dives even deeper.

The week was bursting with inspiration upcoming hotel openings, creative venue concepts, unique destinations, and plenty of ideas ready to transform the way we build events for our clients.

This year marked a big shift: instead of simply walking the floor, Sam (along with Victoria) attended IBTM World as a hosted buyer and the experience was completely different. Previously, the visits involved wandering through stands, collecting brochures, chatting with familiar faces and discovering new suppliers in a fairly organic way. But this time, the focused appointments meant she had meaningful time with hotel groups, DMCs, countries, and venue partners from around the globe. These curated meetings cut through the noise and allowed for genuine relationship-building and deeper conversations about what’s actually new and event-ready.

It reminded us why we always say: “Everything is always done better in person.” You understand brands more deeply, you get honest answers, and you build trust — something invaluable in our industry.

Site Visit & Overnight Stay to Farncombe Estate, The Fish, Dormy House & Foxhill Manor

There’s something effortlessly restorative about the Cotswolds the rolling hills, the soft quiet, the sense that time slows down just enough for you to breathe. Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting three standout properties that each bring something entirely unique to the region: The Fish Hotel, Dormy House, and Foxhill Manor. All part of the Farncombe Estate, they share a commitment to exceptional hospitality while offering completely different experiences.

Below is my deep dive into what makes each one special, and who they suit best.

The Fish Hotel: Playful, Quirky, and Lovingly Dog-Friendly

The Fish Hotel is one of those places that immediately puts a smile on your face. It’s relaxed, slightly unconventional, and wonderfully welcoming the sort of venue that embraces muddy boots, wagging tails, and guests who prefer experiences with personality.

The property offers 66 rooms, including cosy hotel-style suites, spacious huts, and magical treehouses that genuinely feel like childhood dreams reimagined for adults. It’s an ideal choice for groups searching for somewhere informal yet stylish.

From an events perspective, The Fish caters well to smaller gatherings.

Most function spaces comfortably host up to 25 guests, perfect for intimate team meetings, creative workshops, or wellness-style retreats. The main dining space, Fish Hook Restaurant, seats around 100, pairing relaxed interiors with locally inspired dishes. For a more social setting, the bar lounge offers seating for about 50 people, ideal for drinks receptions or breakout mingling. There are also charming private dining spaces such as the conservatory, which holds up to 16 guests, and outdoor options suitable for small group meals of up to 20 great for summer dining with a view.

Perhaps the most impressive option is full exclusivity: you can take over the entire hotel from approximately £28,000, giving groups complete privacy and a playful backdrop for a memorable escape.

Dormy House: Classic Country Luxury With a Calm, Polished Atmosphere

Just a short drive away sits Dormy House, a refined country house hotel that blends traditional Cotswold charm with quiet indulgence. The interiors feel exactly as you’d hope from a countryside retreat log fires, stone floors, cosy lounges, and naturally stylish details that create an immediate sense of comfort.

Each room and suite is individually designed, offering a more conventional hotel layout but with thoughtful touches throughout. Some suites even include private hot tubs, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or spa-hopping Dormy House has a distinctly serene feel. It’s an ideal choice for couples, older guests, or anyone craving a polished, peaceful break with the option of first-class spa facilities including their renowned infinity pool.

And, in true country-house fashion, you never quite know who you might bump into. On our visit, Pierce Brosnan happened to be staying while filming Mobland. Sadly, we didn’t cross paths with him but it added a lovely whisper of Hollywood glamour to the evening.

Foxhill Manor: A Five-Star Home Away From Home Exclusively Yours

Finally, tucked quietly on the estate is Foxhill Manor, a jewel of contemporary manor-house luxury. This 5-star property is built entirely around the concept of indulgent exclusivity, offering just 8 bedroom suites making it perfect for private group takeovers.

Exclusive-use rates start from £8,000 per night, with a minimum 2-night stay at weekends, and the property caters seamlessly for up to 16 guests. The experience is more akin to staying in a beautifully run private home than in a hotel One of the standout features is the media room, complete with a private cinema and games setup ideal for relaxed evenings or group entertainment.

The signature Full Fox all-inclusive package brings dining to another level. On arrival, guests meet with the chef to discuss preferences, dietary needs, favourite dishes, or completely bespoke menu ideas. There are no fixed dining times and no designated dining room — you simply eat what you want, when you want, wherever you like. Whether that’s a romantic breakfast in your suite, lunch in the lounge, or dinner tucked away in a cosy corner, the team makes it feel effortless.

Foxhill Manor is the kind of place where the service is so thoughtful and fluid that it feels invisible warm, intuitive, and completely tailored to you.

What struck us most across all three properties is how well they complement one another: The Fish Hotel brings creativity, freshness, and relaxed charm perfect for groups, retreats, and families (four-legged members included); Dormy House feels calm and classically luxurious ideal for spa lovers or anyone craving a refined countryside escape; Foxhill Manor is pure, private luxury a five-star experience created for groups seeking exclusivity and tailor-made hospitality.

Each venue stands beautifully on its own, but together they showcase some of the very best hospitality the Cotswolds has to offer.

Site Visit and Lunch at Estelle Manor

As part of our tour of some stand out Cotswolds venues,  the team visited the stunning Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire where we met with the wonderful Caroline Johnson and enjoyed a private tour of the event spaces followed by a lovely lunch.  This venue is quickly becoming the place to be seen for events.

What is Estelle Manor?

  • Estelle Manor is a luxury hotel and private-members club located in Oxfordshire, near the edge of the Cotswolds.
  • The manor was formerly known as Eynsham Hall — a historic house that has been re-imagined and restored.
  • The redesign and restoration was carried out by the firm Roman & Williams, which blended the building’s historic neo-Jacobean features with modern luxury design.

Accommodation & Atmosphere

  • The estate offers 108 rooms and suites, distributed across the main Manor House, Walled Garden rooms, Stable rooms, and more secluded Woodland Cabins / private houses.
  • Interiors balance vintage, rustic charm (e.g. oak panelling and original features) with contemporary comfort — giving a cosy yet refined countryside-meets-luxury vibe.

Dining, Leisure & Amenities

Estelle Manor isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a full retreat. Among its offerings:

  • Multiple restaurants and dining spaces: a Brasserie, a Glasshouse, a traditional Chinese restaurant, and more relaxed casual-dining spots.
  • An expansive spa & bathhouse: the Eynsham Baths — a 3,000 m², Roman-inspired spa with thermal pools and wellness treatments.
  • Outdoor & country-estate activities: from archery, clay pigeon shooting, axe-throwing and falconry, to off-road driving and estate walks — appealing to guests seeking both peace and adventure.
  • Family-friendly facilities: there are family-sized cabins/houses, kids’ club activities, and suitable accommodations for groups, friends or families.

 Who It’s For

  • People from London or elsewhere looking for a countryside escape without giving up comfort, style and convenience — especially as Estelle Manor is positioned as a “countryside companion” to a Mayfair private-members club.
  • Couples, families or groups of friends seeking a weekend getaway, or a retreat with a mix of relaxation and activity.
  • Guests looking for a blend of heritage charm, contemporary design, and comprehensive amenities (spa, dining, countryside experiences) all in one place.

Gleneagles Agency FAM Trip

Emily had the pleasure of being invited on a very special agency FAM trip to Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, where she and the group enjoyed an unforgettable programme of activities.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the group was welcomed with a delicious brunch before heading outdoors to spend time with the gun dogs, meet the birds of prey, and take part in an exhilarating session at the shooting school.

Later that afternoon, everyone had the opportunity to check in and enjoy some leisure time. In the early evening, the group gathered for pre-dinner drinks in the elegant American Bar, followed by a delightful dinner in The Birnam restaurant.

On Monday, after a restful night’s sleep, Emily joined the group for a hearty Scottish breakfast before heading to the Trail Yard for a spot of axe throwing. The morning continued with a visit to the PGA academy, where they enjoyed hitting some golf balls.

The group then departed the Glorious Playground for Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh, where they enjoyed lunch in The Spence restaurant before making their way back to the airport.

Gleneagles is an exceptional destination for corporate events, offering a rare blend of luxury, heritage and world-class facilities set against the breathtaking Scottish countryside. From state-of-the-art meeting spaces to unforgettable outdoor experiences, the estate provides endless opportunities for teams to connect, innovate and be inspired. Its impeccable service, outstanding dining options and unique activities: from golf at the famed PGA courses to country pursuits found nowhere else. The venue creates a truly memorable environment that elevates any corporate gathering. At Gleneagles, business feels effortless and every moment feels extraordinary.

December, here we come!

Last month reminded us why firsthand experience is invaluable. Whether it’s an iconic London venue, a new waterfront development, or a tranquil countryside estate, being immersed in each property allows us to understand the guest journey, appreciate the details, and assess suitability for a wide range of client briefs.

Every visit is an opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired and we can’t wait to bring these insights to our clients’ events in 2026 and beyond.

If any of these venues have caught your eye, or if you’d like tailored recommendations for your next corporate event, incentive, or private celebration, our team would love to help. Get in touch, and let’s create something extraordinary together.
