Last week, Millie was invited by Avenue Sales on a FAM Trip to visit Chia Laguna Resort in South Sardinia to experience first-hand everything the destination has to offer for corporate groups. From state-of-the-art conference facilities and luxury accommodation to boat trips to hidden beaches, safari mountain experiences and unforgettable dining locations, it quickly became clear why South Sardinia is one of Europe’s most exciting destinations for incentive travel and corporate events.

One Resort, Three Hotels, Endless Possibilities
One of the most impressive aspects of Chia Laguna Resort is its unique layout. The destination is made up of three hotels: a four-star property, a five-star hotel and the Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia, a five-star supreme resort.
Although they are separate hotels, they feel like one connected village. Guests can easily walk between the properties in just a few minutes and, regardless of where they stay, have access to facilities across the entire resort. With approximately 400 bedrooms available and the option to buy out individual hotels, Chia Laguna is well suited to everything from executive retreats to large-scale incentive programmes.
Home to Sardinia’s Largest Conference Centre
For clients looking to combine business with destination experiences, Chia Laguna offers some of the strongest conference facilities in Sardinia.
The resort is home to the island’s largest conference centre, with a ballroom accommodating up to 500 delegates theatre style or 250–300 delegates cabaret style. The ballroom can also be divided into three separate spaces, creating flexibility for different event formats. Alongside the main conference facilities, there are multiple meeting rooms suitable for varied sizes of groups, all featuring natural daylight and views across olive trees and the surrounding landscape.
The resort can also fully brand arrival areas, registration spaces and conference facilities, creating a cohesive event experience from start to finish.
A Destination Designed Around Flexibility
Throughout our visit, one thing became incredibly clear: the team at Chia Laguna can create almost anything.
Whether clients are looking for a wellness-focused retreat, a sales kick-off, a leadership offsite or a company celebration, the team works closely with organisers to create bespoke experiences.
One example shared during our visit involved a group requesting an outdoor hair and beauty workshop. The team transformed a lawn area into a fully functioning outdoor beauty space, demonstrating just how adaptable the resort can be.
With countless indoor and outdoor spaces available across the destination, every event can feel completely unique.
Activities That Go Far Beyond Traditional Team Building
The activity programme at Chia Laguna is one of its greatest strengths. Guests can enjoy yoga, Pilates, wellness experiences, padel, tennis, hiking trails, cycling routes and horse riding, all within easy reach of the resort.
One of the highlights of our trip was a private boat excursion to a collection of gorgeous hidden beaches that can only be reached by boat. With crystal-clear turquoise waters and breathtaking scenery, it is easy to understand why some of these beaches were recently voted among the most beautiful in Italy. The resort can also arrange visits to a beach club restaurant accessible by boat, creating a memorable incentive experience for guests.
The following day, we headed into the mountains by jeep and discovered another side of Sardinia entirely. The views were spectacular, and the experience showcased how diverse the destination really is. Guests can take part in local food experiences, wine tastings, cheese making demonstrations and pasta making workshops before enjoying lunch or dinner surrounded by nature. For evening events, the team can create magical dining experiences beneath fairy-lit trees, accommodating groups of up to 250 guests.
For larger incentives, groups can be split between activities, with one group exploring the coastline by boat while another heads into the mountains before swapping later in the day.
Exceptional Food, Drink and Hospitality
Food and beverage is another area where Chia Laguna excels.
Across the three hotels, guests have access to multiple restaurants, bars and reception spaces, ensuring no two evenings need to feel the same.
One restaurant located directly on the beach can be fully or partially bought out for events and transformed with lighting and styling to create an unforgettable evening setting.
We also visited a restaurant outside of the resort overlooking the sea and a large lagoon filled with flamingos. Watching the sunset over the water while dining was a true highlight, and the hotel can arrange transfers and event experiences there for groups.
