Back in October, Miss London Concierge travelled to Croatia for the M&I forum, where we met over 40 venues and hotels from Europe and the rest of the world, to get a better understanding of how these can work for our clients upcoming meetings, incentives, conferences and away days.

What is M&I forum?

This event was an m&i Private event. It is all about connecting independent & boutique hotels and local hotel groups with event planners on the hunt for out-of-the-box properties. And because this Forum has a strict limit on attendees, we had the chance to meet and do business in an intimate environment that places a strong focus on forging strong professional relationships.

Networking, culture and activities

The M&I Forums are fantastically organised, allowing event buyers to network, meet with a wide selection of venues over a 3 day period, while also enjoying the culture of the City they are in and seeing how the activities and culture can also be applied to our clients events. We were also treated to wonderful lunches, dinners and entertainment and luxury accommodation throughout the trip and can’t wait to attend the next event in 2023.

Dubrovnik, also known as the pearl of the Adriatic.

With its incredible historic scenery, almost like something out of a medieval fantasy, it’s no wonder the hit show, Game of Thrones, was so heavily filmed in the Croatian city of Dubrovnik. We found heaps of history at every turn of the city’s winding streets, a rich food scene, the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea and a sprawling, hidden gem island just a 600m ferry ride from the main city.

For the MICE experts, Dubrovnik is a dream come true. Not only is it extremely accessible to all of Europe, but it’s also a UNESCO protected city, which means plenty of history to absorb.



The Sun Gardens Hotel

Our host venue, Sun Gardens, is a Leading Hotels of the World property and has everything you could need, including eight meeting rooms that equal 1800 square metres of luxury event space.

The Meeting Spaces

We stayed in this gorgeous hotel and were particularly blown away by their Soderini Grand Ballroom, which spans 753 square meters. The ballroom can accommodate 1,000 people for a reception, 900 people theatre style, and 540 people banquet style.  It boasts a number of small meeting and breakout rooms which are flooded with natural light.

We also just loved the Windroses rooms which were bathed in natural light and simply stunning views. The room covers 105 square meters and can be divided into 2 separate rooms, Windroses South and Windroses West. The combined space can accommodate 105 people reception style, 80 people theatre style, 56 people in banquet style, and 56 people cabaret style.


Restaurants and bars

There are an astounding 17 bars, restaurants and eateries in the Sun Garden hotel. Offering everything from fine dining to vitality bars; casual coffee and even sports bars. There truly is something for everyone whether is be a morning breakfast and yoga treat on their roof terrace, a trip to their spa or a banquet dinner followed by cocktails in the beach bar. Simply ideal.
