Miss London Concierge are your venue finding experts. Not just venue finding in London and the UK, but also abroad.  We are rounding up a four part series of special blogs, mailers and information around MICE and international trips.  Why? In today’s fast-paced and competitive business world, corporate teams are constantly searching for new ways to improve teamwork, boost morale, and enhance productivity. One increasingly popular option that has emerged is the concept of MICE trips.  MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions. These trips provide unique opportunities for corporate teams to come together in a different setting, away from the office, and engage in various activities that foster team building, learning, and networking.  This month we have been bringing you a weekly blog on the countries and cities we have been lucky enough to visit this year including Milan, Brussels, Finland & Scotland.  Today is the final instalment – part four of four: the FAM trip to the beautiful country inside the UK of… SCOTLAND

Why Scotland?

2023 has been a busy year for MLC with Fam trips and we rounded off our series of visits with a trip to Scotland, organised by our friends at Visit Scotland.

Miss London Concierge travelled to Perthshire in Scotland with VisitScotland to uncover why this destination is perfect for our clients upcoming MICE events.

As well as being super close to the majority of our clients in England, Scotland provides a fresh scenery, great value locations and second-to-none customer service. Read on to discover the places we visited and why Scotland could be the next place to go for your corporate event.

Loganair Limited got us safely to Dundee. The Scottish airline, based at Glasgow Airport, serves more Scottish airports than any other airline. Service covers more than 70 routes across the British Isles, Europe, Scandinavia and of course throughout Scotland.

Check-in at Crieff Hydro Hotel and Resort

Crieff Hydro Hotel is set in a 900-acre estate with a Victorian spa, 9-hole par 3 golf course and over 60 indoor and outdoor activities.

The resort is situated in the beautiful Strathearn Valley just 1 hour’s drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

They host over 1000 events each year with 40,000 delegates and event attendees welcomed through their doors. Meeting, conferences, corporate events and private celebration, they’ve got it all covered, including fantastic team building offerings. Hedging our bets

After a restful night’s sleep we were up bright and early to enjoy a tour of the estate and a super fun activity before heading to the Perth Racecourse for an afternoon of hospitality, lunch and few cheeky bets 🐎

We even got to choose the best dressed horse and present an award to one of the winning horses which was an amazing experience! 🏆🥇

Murrayshall Country Estate

We then made our way to Murrayshall Country Estate where we enjoyed a stunning private dinner and tour of the hotel.

Silhouetted against 365 acres of Perthshire countryside, you’ll find this luxury escape – a four-star country house and estate nestled between the towering trees.

They have five spacious meeting rooms, all with natural daylight and views over the grounds and gardens, to choose from. Each with easy access to Cairns, their library and beautiful outside courtyard. They boast 40 beautiful bedrooms and suites, making your stay as comfortable and straightforward as possible – perfect for a full team offsite!

Day two of our trip took us to Errichel: Thyme Deli, Thyme Bistro & Errichel Cottages where we enjoyed a stunning food tasting and walk around the grounds.

Located in Aberfeldy, Errichel House and Cottages is in a rural area and in the mountains.

Thyme Bistro is a casual dining experience situated within Errichel, a working rare-breeds hill-farm, with a menu that is locally sourced, but globally inspired.

Choccy stop

Our third and final stop was to Fonab Castle Hotel & Woodland Spa for a tour and private chocolate tasting masterclass with the HIGHLAND CHOCOLATIER LIMITED, taking us on on a journey through the flavours, textures, skills, craftsmanship, and fascinating details of chocolates. All are award-winning, and includes the Best Dark Truffle in the World.

The Fonab Castle Hotel & Woodland Spa is perfect for corporate events with State-of-the-art equipment, flexible meetings and events spaces which can be adapted to any layout and a unique location make it ideal for large bespoke events.

Their amazing location means there’s always the opportunity to schedule in some team-building outside of the luxurious indoor surroundings. Ample opportunity for walking, cycling, off-road driving, clay pigeon shooting or fishing is great for alternative team-building days.

Team Building Activities include: The Wilderness Challenge, Forest Team Building Challenge, Mini Highland Games, Rafting Challenge, 4 x 4 & Off-road Experience

For a day or maybe longer, you can take over the entire Castle for your celebration. All public areas are yours and your guests’, and closed to the public.
