Interview with a client: Lerease, Events manager

Can you tell us a little about yourself and what you do?

I work for Liberty Global as their Event Manager for UK & Europe. I’ve been here 14 months now. Before this worked at Meta / FB for five years so have been using MLC from then.

What made you decide to use Miss London Concierge instead of just booking a venue on your own?

I trust MLC implicitly to come up with the type of venues I know that will be well received and appreciated by our staff. They have high expectations so interesting places are always welcomed.  

What are the main perks of using Miss London Concierge that you wouldn’t get from going directly to venues?

Negotiation on rates. Back and forth with vendors. Exposure to new places.

Can you share a time when Miss London Concierge found the perfect venue for one of your events? What made it just right for you?

Vienna – The restaurant Motto Am Fluss was perfect for the type of vibe we wanted to create. The Bars were a fantastic choice and the activities were fantastic, it left an impression on all guests for sure!

How has working with Miss London Concierge helped you save time or reduce stress in planning your events?

Massively, we deliver a large number of events throughout the year with an incredibly small team,. MLC has been a great way for us to deliver the quality our stakeholders want, but by saving us time we need to spend on delivering the bigger events. It’s been crucial!

Have you attended any of MLC’s showcase events? How did experiencing the venue in person before booking influence your decision?

I’ve been on a few amazing showcase events and fam trips, and they have been invaluable in showing us what a venue is REALLY like. Photos on a website will never really keep a venue front of mind. Its easier for us to experience a place and then find a reason to use it, especially when we know they can deliver the quality I know the staff here are accustomed to.

Would you recommend Miss London Concierge to others looking for venues? What would you tell them?

Absolutely. I’ve recommended them to friends as well as colleagues, especially the EAs and PAs who sometimes arrange dinners, small meetings etc without the oversight of the events team.
