As venue finders, visiting different London venues, as well as venues around the UK, is an essential part of our job as a team.

By visiting venues in person, we have a direct experience of the facilities, ambiance, and overall atmosphere, allowing us to gather accurate and detailed information that cannot be fully conveyed through pictures or descriptions alone. Also, seeing venues firsthand helps us assess their suitability for various events or clients.

But, not only are we searching for the perfect venues, we are also searching to create and strengthen relationships with our venue partners and other events industry professionals.

APril Highlight:mlc connects Gusbourne fam trip

April was an amazing month chock full of amazing opportunities for the MLC team to explore a wide range of event options for our clients.

Our recent fam trip to Gusbourne Estate was an unforgettable experience, offering a delightful escape for our ten key clients. Nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside, Gusbourne’s picturesque vineyards provided a stunning backdrop for our visit.

The venue is perfect for team away days and team building, offering experiences such as tutored wine tastings, interactive wine experiences, and engaging workshops. Our guests were treated to an exclusive tour, where they learned about the meticulous process of crafting their award-winning wines, from vine to bottle.

The highlight was, of course, the tasting session, where guests savoured a selection of their finest sparkling and still wines, each paired perfectly with locally-sourced delicacies.

Gusbourne Estate also excels in hosting meetings and receptions, making it an ideal setting for both business and pleasure.

The day was a wonderful blend of education, indulgence, and networking, leaving our clients not only impressed by Gusbourne’s offerings but also more connected to our shared passion for venue excellence.

Jeru London Client Dinner

We recently hosted an intimate dinner at Jeru in Mayfair to celebrate our Sales and Marketing Manager, Sam. Living in Spain and working remotely, this event was a rare opportunity for Sam to connect with her key clients in person. Held in Jeru’s semi-private wine cellar, which accommodates up to 20 guests, the evening offered a perfect setting for meaningful interactions and networking. Surrounded by amazing wines, the ambiance was both sophisticated and cozy.

Guests enjoyed a culinary journey, savoring dishes that blend traditional and contemporary flavors, meticulously prepared with the finest ingredients. Jeru offers three private dining and exclusive event options: the Sapphire Room, hosting up to 100 standing guests and 90 seated guests with ornate features; Layla, accommodating 120 standing guests and 85 seated guests with a grand appearance; and Jeru Garden, perfect for 70 standing guests and 42 seated guests, featuring an exclusive bar and secret garden decor.

This dinner was not only a testament to Sam’s dedication but also a chance for our clients to experience Jeru’s exceptional dining.

Molly and Fran recently had the pleasure of being invited to visit Wallace Space in Spitalfields, and their experience was nothing short of exceptional. Emily and Fran embarked on a trip to CHS Leeds, a VIP networking event designed to connect with venue and event supplier and fellow event profs. Networking events like these is a cornerstone for our Miss London Concierge venue finding service, as it allows us to strengthen our relationships with suppliers and expand our venue knowledge.

The trip to CHS Leeds was a vibrant blend of networking and learning. Emily and Fran engaged with industry speakers, gaining valuable insights into the latest trends and innovations in event planning. The opportunity to meet face-to-face with a diverse range of suppliers was invaluable, fostering relationships that will enhance industry knowledge.

Exploring Leeds as an event destination was another highlight of the trip. Known for its dynamic atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, Leeds offers a wide range of unique venues perfect for various events. Emily and Fran’s firsthand experience of the city’s venues has enriched our database, allowing us to provide more tailored recommendations to our clients.

The Barbican

Molly and Fran were invited to the Barbican Centre for a site visit, and it was an impressive experience. The Barbican, a historical landmark in London, offers a range of modern amenities perfect for various events. The venue features multiple screening rooms that can accommodate up to 280 guests, making them ideal for conferences and presentations. Additionally, the Barbican provides a multitude of flexible meeting spaces and breakout rooms, catering to diverse event needs.

A standout feature of the Barbican is its stunning conservatory, filled with amazing tropical plants. This lush space is perfect for drinks receptions for up to 300 people and can also be used for larger sit-down dinners with cabaret-style seating, especially when combined with the attached terraces.

Benwell House, London

In April Miss London concierge hosted a connects showcase event at the Jamie Oliver HQ, Benwell House in leafy Islington, and it was an extraordinary experience.

Benwell House, home to Jamie’s test kitchen and the filming location for his TV and social content, provided a perfect setting for our gathering. The venue’s outdoor space is ideal for summer parties in London, offering a refreshing and vibrant atmosphere. With the capacity to accommodate up to 75 seated guests and 120 standing, it seamlessly balanced intimacy and spaciousness, making everyone feel comfortable and engaged.

Our clients were treated to a culinary journey that highlighted Jamie’s commitment to quality and sustainability. Each dish showcased fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared in ways that were both delicious and mindful of health and environmental impact.
